The presidential race has come down to a battle of “machine versus momentum” as the nation’s polls tighten for GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump and Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, Real Clear Politics editor Tom Bevan said Wednesday.

“Trump has momentum,” Bevan said during a panel discussion on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” about the upcoming election.

“Polls are tightening nationally in a lot of swing states, and Clinton is trying to activate that machine and get as many votes in the bank as she can, and keep those firewalls in some of those battleground states.”

Bevan said that according to his website’s “No Toss-Up” map, Clinton is at 279 electoral votes, while Trump is at 259.
